Trump is an extremely divisive figure. Well over half the population not only dislikes him, but hates him. Him losing was the expected outcome of any election where there was high turnout.

Turns out many more people believe in right and wrong vs. greed.

So, who is the greedy one here? In all his years in elected office, Biden accumulated a sizeable fortune earning a Representative's and later a Senator's salary. President bush lost an even greater fortune in just four years of service. He even donated his salary to worthy causes. (Those are demonstrable facts that you may easily check for yourself.) Yes, a vast portion of the population hates him. Why? Could be that they were fed a constant litany of lies and distorted facts from the news media. Indeed, many of Trump's meanest tweets were in response to those lies and distortions. Of course, there are those who said he lied even more than the press. Sorry, I don't see it. Most of what are deemed Trump's lies are responses to distortions of his comments or mistakes that he made. (There is a vast difference between a mistake and a lie.) And again, four years of peace (he started no new wars, even ending a few, and brokered peace where others had tried and failed) and prosperity (especially among minority communities).

CPT Jack Durish None of that is a reason to doubt the election results. I could debate it, but that's pointless.

What we are left with is we shouldn't tear down our country because a lot of people are unhappy they lost an election and just don't want to believe they lost. Look, I'm sure in our lifetimes we've both supported people that lost elections and gotten over it. Later on we win some other election. That's how the system works and we are both old enough to know that.

I hope that Trump runs in 2024 so I can vote for him again.

I'd rather he didn't. He can be far more effective without being a politician, and he is a lightning rod for hate. Still, if he ran again, I'd vote for him again...

Explain how HR 1 ends free elections. Without conservative talking points.

People didn't want Trump gone because of "mean tweets." The fact that people STILL think he was a good President and can't give up any actual things he did that improved the state of America boggles me.

I see nothing wrong with these things and it's as of 2 Feb: https://www.usnews.com/news/us/articles/2021-02-02/factbox-what-has-biden-done-so-far-to-roll-back-trumps-immigration-policies

I'm just mind boggled at how the conservatives have literally turned Trump in to an idol and worship him as if he is a deity despite the fact he lost the WH, the Senate, the House. He was a laughing stock (literally) to the world. He's a misogynistic, racist, sexist, xenophobe and quite likely a narcissist and sociopath. I just don't get the appeal especially if he was anyone else, any random guy on the street, you wouldn't associate with him at all (general you). To think people disliked him for "mean tweets" is just ridiculous.

HR-1 legalizes the shenanigans that California legalized prior to the 2018 midterms and allowed them to flip every Republican seat to the Democrats. That's not some "conservative talking point." That is factual evidence that I personally witnessed. And HR-1 includes other methods of unacceptable manipulation of elections
