Back in 1958, I was an impressionable sophomore in High School and one of the songs I vividly remember was this one from the Chantels titled "Maybe". I wonder how many of you will remember this song from back in that late '50's and early '60's time period... (The video is not the best, but the sound is very good.)
About The Chantels:
"The Chantels (not to be confused with the reggae group The Chantells) were the second African-American girl group to have nationwide success in the United States, preceded by The Bobbettes. The group was established in the early 1950s and attended St. Anthony of Padua school in The Bronx. The original five members consisted of Arlene Smith (lead), Sonia Goring, Rene Minus, Jackie Landry Jackson and Lois Harris. They derived their name from that of a rival school, St. Frances de Chantal." Lyrics.com

Sgt (Join to see) Another home run into memory lane! This song was a good belly rubbing jingle for sure! And not only with the music, but American Grandstand with Dick Clark was always a good watch on our old B&W TV.

You're welcome, my friend... (I did note that you mentioned a number of people who wrote this song, but at least one of them, Enrique Iglesias, was not yet born in 1958, as he was the son of Singer Julio Iglesias, so whatever source was referenced, I believe that source was incorrect.)
