An open letter to the sergeant major of the Army

Wholeheartedly agree with this, especially the housing. On post housing for anyone below the rank of SFC, is absolutely atrocious. Made with the cheapest materials they can get away with, and poorly maintained by the privatized companies. The D-FAC issue I have never experienced as each brigade had a working D-FAC during the duty week, to include a rotational midnight chow, and rotational weekend services, but can see the issue he is presenting on other posts. As for BAS recoupment, have to be honest and truthful, it was never enforced in my time in the Army.

I wish some army VIP will look at how we take care of soldiers with PTSD. There are very few standards in that regard.
