That's because Justice Thomas sees and understands the ramifications.

SSG Robert Webster - It is about time that "Big Tech" be taken down a notch or two from usurping Our Constitutional Rights to control "Freedom of Speech"... I for one am glad that Justice Thomas has spoken up about the problem, as it is not a Republican or Democrat issue, but a Constitutional Issue... and in my view, Business is trying to override the constitution...

MSgt Steve Sweeney - That is an ignorant statement considering that the printing press was the "Big Tech" of the period and that Mr. Paine was an editor and an author in the press.

In fact, the press was so crucial in those early days that David Ramsay, one of the first historians of the American Revolution, wrote that: “In establishing American independence, the pen and press had merit equal to that of the sword.” (https://blog.oup.com/2016/11/press-impact-american-revolution/)

SSG Robert Webster - And do you think someone off the street could have walked right into Ben Franklin's shop and demand that he print whatever pamphlet or screed the person wanted to print? I am 100% sure the owner of the printing press had final say on what was printed, especially given that the publisher could find themselves in danger or face repercussions, financial or otherwise, based on the content that came off the press. You want to print something, go out and get your own printing press. Don't demand the use of someone else's press to get your word out. That has nothing to do with "freedom of speech".

So, in fact, in your analogy, Mr. Paine represented "big tech" or "the liberal media" (you choose)... the very thing the OP wants "taken down a notch or two"... Perhaps he, and you, would have wanted Mr. Paine taken down a notch or two as well.

SSG Robert Webster - I see you have no salient points to argue, so your response is simply showing your butt-hurt. But then you have always been a little crybaby POS.

Is it true justice Thomas was the only one to point out how election laws in those six states in question broke their own election laws?
