This is how it should work. Let CDC give out the information, not the damn politicians.

MAJ Ken Landgren - Could it have been better? There is always room for improvement, but considering the speed of delivery, and our form of government, yes I believe it was good.

SFC (Join to see) - Our initial tests were broke dick and they had to make new tests. FEMA was told to start pandemic planning in March. That means no real planning was started until March. By March our window of opportunity to control the pandemic was zilch. The countries that fared best were the countries who planned and executed in February.
The administration stood up a team to purchase PPEs in March. Doctors and nurses had to wash PPEs for weeks. Trump was saying to us that we were safe. Everyone and their grandmother was giving out medical and safe protocol guidances. They even attacked colleagues. The initial tests were broke dick. The planning was beyond pathetic because they did not create planning teams until it was too late. The administration excuse was Obama did not leave them a plan which was a huge lie. You call this decent planning?

The CDC, minus political entanglements, would be serving us better by simply giving out facts.

Amen I say to you! but even so, there needs to be someone who puts the information in context from all the scientists, who may be experts in their fields, but don't have the expertise to see problems in other areas that can affect their work.
