PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Yes I know that many countries conduct this training for piloting large ships.. I was just mentioning this one instance concerning the Suez as this is the first I have heard about canal operations.

Useless training, unless they can simulate the sail surface of a 1100'x200' ship with 40mph winds.
