The Dem senate told FDR they would not stand for his "Court packing". Today's Senate Dems don't have the independence of mind to oppose the Left-wing radicals who have taken over their party.

It's just a naked attempt to assert control of SCOTUS so they have no legal challenge on the bills plan on passing

This is an interesting quote: "They want a Court that reliably furthers their political agenda — and they want it now." They being the Democrats. Is this now a problem? Because this wasn't a problem earlier on.
Also: "[packing the court] would have the very consequence that Democrats avoided in 1937: the political takeover of the judiciary." This has already happened.

MSgt James Clark-Rosa - Then perhaps you should look closer, they have only slapped down really off the wall and clearly unconstitutional things. They are heavily biased but most still l know what there jobs are. Thomas though SEEMS to be more worried about his lobbiest wife's job and income.
