I am an avid visiter to the World War 1 battlefield Memorial Day ceremonies at Bellow Wood outside of Paris. In my conversations with career young Marine leaders at the time it became clear to me the Marine Corps will change like it or not into a smaller more Naval oriented amphibious force focused, and lethal. For me this is good news. Good news for the country and good news for the whole US military. An asset the Marine Corps holds is it is the keeper of military tradition, and battle leadership that was threatened to be lost in the effort into making the military corporate. This since WW 2. Corporate I mean in the process of modernizing the military with new weapons systems was the danger leaders who acted like business leaders instead of warrior.
