Well that is a hyperbolic headline... I assume the author of the article is going to make libellous accusations as a political agent?

When you look up Marjorie Taylor Greene, what comes up next to her name is, Looney Tunes.

1SG (Join to see) The fact that people are making more on unemployment than their jobs, doesn't point to a problem with unemployment.

SPC Kevin Ford - Yes, it does.
This issue was pointed out a year ago when we thought it would only be for three months. Now here we are a year later and we've allowed people to become dependent on government.
Get a job. Or get skills for a better one with all this time on your hands.

I have spoken.

SFC Randy Hellenbrand How is removing government support a compulsion to work? You know what the compulsion to work is in Iowa? Give you a hint, it ain't the government.

It is the necessity to support yourself like a responsible adult.

Nonetheless, a whole lotta golks STILL won't work, because they are independently wealthy, or living with a spouse (or parents) who supports them, or any number of other reasons. GOP is not telling ANYONE to het to work. They have simply decided to stop paying them NOT to work.

You have a very flawed view of Capitalism. I have tried to educate you (here and elsewhere) but you are too busy with ad hominem attacks (and false ones, at that) to pay attention. So I will conclude with a request to just be quiet when the grown-ups are talking.

1SG (Join to see) I agree they should get a job. I also think that workers in low skilled jobs should form unions to avoid getting taken advantage of.

The other thing we learned from COVID is most of those low skilled jobs are essential to running our economy and there is no educating our way out of us needed someone to do them. We shouldn't expect some large number of people in our society to live in poverty so the rest of us can live in comfort.

I also have spoken. ;)
