But right now they are busy trying to shut down Radio Free Russia. I wonder what Putin fears; besides everything good???

"Editor's note: The fight against disinformation has become a facet of nearly every story NPR international correspondents cover, from vaccine hesitancy to authoritarian governments spreading lies. While you joke, here is real life example of what you refer to. OANN unsuccessfully sued MSNBC for defamation after being called "Russian propaganda". The right-wing network had to reimburse MSNBC's legal fees after losing the lawsuit

OAN Parent Co. Ordered To Pay $250,000 To Rachel Maddow, MSNBC For Failed Lawsuit
The far-right company got the bill after Maddow noted that an OAN journalist also worked for Russian state media.

LOL!! I myself don't know, but I'd sure be surprised if they didn't. They are in Estonia however. But they do try to keep pushing their fascist propaganda worldwide. They really are democracy's biggest threat.

Underneath this is I feel it is wise to understand Russia. Russia it seems to me is an ungovernable state by western standards. I think Americans should look at Putin as a necessary evil, in this land of natural resources wealth, corruption, and chaos. Without Putin things can be a lot worse. What the West needs to do is contain him, not pander to him as Trump seems to have done. I think containing him has to be the United States agenda.

I disagree. I do know that Russians for some reason feel they will be invaded. Probably the amount of people they lost in WWII. However, I say one thing and I know it to be the absolute truth cause the same idiot did it in more than one country. Reagan blew because of his stupid McCarty like hate for Russia. When the USSR fell, Ronne did nothing; just like in Afghanistan. And damm, both of those countries continue to give us trouble just like his mess's in Central America, Iraq, and Iran.

SFC Randy Hellenbrand - I think in a developed conversation with you; you would find out I feel much the same. What *most* Americans do not know and many refuse to accept is the USSR mainly the Russians, Ukrainians, and USSR Asian Soldiers lost more KIA in a few weeks (maybe 2 to 3 weeks) before taking Berlin, than the US has in all it wars to this date!: I say this knowing my uncle was killed in France with the 3rd ID in WW2. He is buried in Epinal. With this family loss connection and the sacrifices of many others on Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and the North African campaign it was the Russian dominated Soviet army that bloodied the German army into a sound defeat. To repeat what you said this war unlike WW 2 USA was not over there for the Russians, it was in their destroyed homes!. This is why they are who they are today. For me the problem of corruption in Russia is a residual of a new open reality in rich resource nation. Using a naval term. They are getting their sea legs.

Cpl Archie H. - 101% correct. As for the massive corruption, I think it's absolutely like a iceberg; which you only see 10% of. However, Putin is just a murdering a dictator: who trump loved. My uncle's ship is still at Guadalcanal. As I see it, especially from the things Trump has said and done that CANNOT BE DENIED, the GOP acts the same way as the people who sunk his ship. It sickens me how they forget the sacrifices that have been made to keep America free from dictatorship.
