Its interesting to see a total lack of understanding but then again Its what I have come to expect from Trump supporters who are totally unable to understand anything.

That is like saying all Democrats are socialist and Neanderthals or you are not African-American if you don't vote Democrat. It's like saying all Arabs are Muslims and all Jews have big noses and dark hair and look like Anne Franke.
It is interesting to note that I do see some Deja Vu because whether it be a coincidence or on purpose, we have gasoline lines again and not seen since I was a junior in high school. Lying Biden said he would not stop fracking but he stopped all fracking on Federal Land so having no fracking and no pipeline completion made out of affected Us in the short-term but it will no long-term. It is pretty funny that the Democratic party thinks that they have to do everything in the next 18 months because they know they're going to lose their ass and the congressional election. I live in Canada and some of the same socialist stupid ideas have already been tried here. Watch the Democrats cannibalize themselves when one or two the vote the Republicans and kill their stupid green bad deal and their social welfare as well as their phony election reform. They're going to be like Pizza The Hut and eat itself and frustration. I will reiterate that President Trump did what President JFK and President Clinton did which was to lower taxes on capital gains. Sure, gfk had higher taxes then than under the present but he still went in the right direction and presidents Bill Clinton made it just like President Trump did but today's Democrats are on emotion and social justice not logic, not economically, not Financial Theory but leftist ideology. I voted Democrat in the 90s but I definitely would prefer to have eight years of Bill Clinton than have 6 months of Joe Biden and his disaster fear theatre of denial. Jimmy Carter I could give an excuse to for being a bad leader but President Biden had fifty years to hone his skills as well as eight years as a vice president but he has lost his mind and he hopes to be a legacy of the left but I think he's going to be up there with Jimmy Carter as a disastrous president.

Hmmmm GDP growth rate for first quarter at annualized rate over 6%. More jobs created than economists predicted. S&P 500 up 11% for 2021. A good majority of Americans are vaccinated.

Unlike some of you I am not converting stocks to cash. There is a good chance corporate earnings in general will go up after the post pandemic blues. Earnings should drive stock prices. I am not building a bunker full of food, water, ammo, and guns. The world is not ending.

I've been looking for a definitive answer on the reporting time frames; fiscal year or calendar year. I found one resource that indicated for the US it's the fiscal year, and the 1st quarter would have been Oct-Dec, before JB took office. So now I want to see what the 2nd quarter numbers are.

SGT (Join to see) - It's JAN-DEC. I think APR-JUN Q2 will be strong as the economy shrugs off some the pandemic blues. Notice GDP Q1 was 6% and the S&P 500 went up 11%. Some people want to sell stock for cash. My gut feeling is to stay in the stock market as I predict GDP growth for 2021 to be robust especially compared to last year. Timing the stock market is a guessing game. If it was easy all of us would be millionaires.

MAJ Ken Landgren - Are You sure? All the places I tried to find the info, all I saw was the one FY ref and nothing else, either way. It was a WPI search. Under GDP I saw the numbers you posted, but nothing on the time frame. I will concede the markets have rebounded nicely in the last month or so.

The government uses an odd fiscal year. I have degrees in Finance and Accounting. The fiscal year for corporate earnings is JAN-DEC. It makes no sense to say the stock market went up in 2021 using 2020 data.

Irony is I did not want to become a bean counter, so I joined the army. It was all good. I went into aviation and armor. My last gig was a budget officer in the National Disaster Planning and Mitigation field. In regards to National Disaster Planning. I know what right and wrong looks like. SGT (Join to see)

SMSgt Mark Venzeio - Given a 54% overall approval rating, that would be the majority opinion as well.

They went from defending Trump for all the crap he did or did not do to attacking everything Biden did or not do. They will make projections like wrecked economy and stock market, total socialism, loss of all civil liberties, weak on China and Israel; and because they say it; it becomes a reality for them.

The ironic thing is yeah Trump was tough on China but he never finished the trade war and I don't think it made much of a difference except for reducing the amount of trade between the countries. Our farmers still don't have the Chinese agriculture market to sell too, so we the tax payers subsidize farmers. Not only that, but during the trade war Trump was working with the Chinese government to develop Indonesia. If that is not a conflict of interest and hypocrisy then I don't know what is.
