There's no real evidence that he converted to Christianity, other than the self-serving statement of a few Christians. https://www.bibleinfo.com/en/questions/was-constantine-christian#constantine-converted

He built a city on the Bosporus which became the capitol of the Eastern Roman Empire. He gave it his own name of Constantinople which we know today as Istanbul. The Eastern Empire collapsed in 1453 after a major attack and prolonged siege by the Ottoman Turks. It was at that point that IsLam became the dominant religion and superseded Christianity. Today, Islam is the official state religion of Turkey.

Islam is not the official religion of Turkey, although it is the predominant one, at 89.5%. The constitution of Turkey is secular, like that of the United States.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Officially, it is secular. But unofficially, Islam is the only religion that is tolerated. That’s what the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1917 was all about, when an estimated one million Christian Armenians were murdered by Turkish troops.
