A bit of overkill on Home Depots part..on the other side of the coin, Home Depot is sponsoring the renovation of a WWII veteran in Austin..Maybe some good PR to minimize the firing of a veteran for unconsciously reacting..

The veteran was only following training by the military, must be the store chain doesn't mind if thousands of dollars in merchandise is taken.

I had a friend who retired as a Police Officer. Then he was shot and killed working security for a chain store at minimum wage. No pay, no insurance. I earned what I was paid and I was worth every nickel. I will be damned if I will risk my life for minimum wage
