The Supreme Court will decide as early as this week whether to hear a constitutional challenge to the male-only registration requirement for the draft filed by a group called the National Coalition for Men.
The group is asking the justices to reconsider a 1981 decision that upheld the Military Selective Service Act under which men -- but not women -- are required to register for the draft. Key to the court's ruling, which was decided by a court made up of all men, was its observation that "women as a group...unlike men as a group, are not eligible for combat."

Can't have it both ways. Either men and women are held to the same standard throughout, thus necessitating their inclusion in the selective service registry, or we recognize that men and women are intrinsically different, requiring the military to reevaluate the recent turn toward attempting to push for women in every area of the military and lowering standards in various areas so as to facilitate this inane policy.

The DSD cases described in the article make up around .5% of births in the US. According to the writer, the case of the woman described would be 1% of the .5% of total DSD cases. The man referenced with having Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome is one of 150 cases detected in the past 80 years worldwide (think 150 divided by billions). These statistics are readily available at sites such as the NCBI a part of the NIH. This article could best be described as misleading and written with a purpose rather than with scientific objectivity. To say these cases are rare is a gross understatement.
