The article clams that this was the first socialist experiment in America. Actually the pilgrims tried a form of socialism with the same sad results. Why won’t people learn the lessons of history? You will always have the workers and the takers. The workers produce nominal results while the takers produce nothing. Socialism has failed every where it is truely tried leading to misery. It seems removing religion and or promoting atheism is one of the hallmarks of this claptrap.

Not true. The first example on this continent was with many of our indigenous nations. The Lakota were a prime example of that. Give what you can, take what you need. I was all about sharing with everyone in the group. A stingy or selfish person was looked down on and usually ostracized from the group.
