While the idea of completely defunding the police is not a good idea (or the goal of most people that use this phrase), tieing any particular criminal activity to be the result of the movement is a non sequitur.

MSG Stan Hutchison Oh, I think they understand the intent, just as they understand the intent behind the phrase "Black Lives Matter". Having said that, it has long been known that there is political advantage to be gained by purposely misrepresenting the position of people one disagrees with.
