For those who claim that the insurrectionists were not armed, as of yesterday there were 47 individuals charged with bringing weapons into the Capitol, or just under 10%.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Nope. Isn't "weapons" enough? Or do they have to have heavy machine guns and anti-tank cannons?

There probably was some right wing activists encouraging violence inside Congress.
According to the report, the information about guns was found on a website. The fact that almost everyone who entered Congress did not have any guns, did not try to locate and subdue Congress people, did not declare they were in charge or try to elect electors means the vast majority were not there for a coup.
Add to the fact that the DOJ has to date charged relatively few people with anything more than illegal entry into Congress.
There definitely was a left wing activist who encouraged violence inside Congress and video taped himself yelling for people to burn everything down.
As for anyone claiming 10% of the crowd that entered Congress was armed, their math is off by a large amount. There were 3 reported to have firearms. None were used.. The rest carried clubs, axes, etc.
There was an estimated 800-1000 people who entered Congress.

"A small number of Capitol riot defendants — at least three charged in the federal criminal investigation — have been accused of carrying firearms. But guns weren't the only threat. According to court documents reviewed by CBS News, 39 defendants have been accused of wielding "deadly or dangerous" weapons that weren't firearms, including Tasers, tomahawk axes, crowbars, flagpoles, a knife, an ice axe, a firecracker, a stun gun, baseball bats, fire extinguishers, a wooden club and chemical spray."

"The DOJ argued that Sullivan "positioned himself with a front seat to not one, but multiple confrontations with officers at multiple locations, and made consistently gleeful exhortations about burning and breaking things."

465 arrested in Capitol riot case, including at least 50 who have served in the military
"The Capitol Attack is likely the most complex investigation ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice," the government said in a court filing.

The indictments were handed down by a grand jury. That doesn't mean the persons involved will be found guilty. It just means that the prosecutors presented evidence of a crime. With that said, it will be up to the DOJ to prove seditious conspiracy occurred.
It is a difficult charge to prove and has rarely been sought.
