As I said to a gentlemen below, the prices aren't up because of inflation or politics. The prices are up because new vehicles are waiting idling by for computer chipsets. Until chip manufacturers catch up with orders used car prices will stay up because demand also outweighs supply. As new cars come out and the supply normalizes demand and price for used autos will go back down.

I got some warranty work done on my Jeep last week, and while waiting I walked around "window shopping" the new ones. The prices blew me away, also there were only a hand full of used Jeeps and trucks on their lot. I got a text from them a couple weeks ago with a offer of close to $20,000 for mine, if I didn't like it so much I would have took them up on it.
