He's right in some areas, especially technology. While we've been content to ship technology offshore in the name of increasing profits, China has been more than happy to take what we give them and build upon that. Problem I see with overtaking us is that the Chinese population is content with being told what, when, how, and where while that isn't the case with the US, heck just look at our Covid response, so at some point the US population will see the light and put country over profits.
