I have mentioned in the past how Washington state would rather buy oil from Vladivostok, Russia. ( This 2018 Canadian News article is in my comments below for your review). The oil would then be shipped across the Pacific in an oil tanker four thousand miles to Tacoma, Washington instead of using common sense and buying it domestically or from its neighbors to the north that has the third-largest oil Reserve in the world. Washington State refuses to buy the oil because it was made of Shale from North Dakota or from Canada because of it being 'too dirty' yet they send it by ship and produce tons of C02 and make the Russians richer in the process all in the name of 'social justice '. Washington State could easily get the oil by rail car from North Dakota or from Canada. This is not a pipeline issue.
Now POTUS' Executive Order is on hold. Many states have objected to this disastrous executive order and a Federal Judge has ruled in their favor.
There is talk in the news that the Democrat's extreme left faction does not like the compromise that the Senators have worked out on the infrastructure bill that is stalled in Congress. Watch tomorrow the extreme left faction of the Democratic party have a nervous breakdown over this judge's decision.
It is interesting that these states actually use the money for doing good things and his executive order actually hurts their ability to generate royalties and it hurts the local economy.
I bet you that President Biden will pursue trying to convince financial institutions to not lend money out to oil companies as a workaround to this legal challenge. President Biden needs to remember that he works for us. We don't work for him! The money from oil leases help states earn money for their budgets. It is a win-win for everyone unless you are an ecology zealot like POTUS is now.
Up until he took over in January 2021 the United States was recently energy independent under President Trump that some call 45. This ruling against 46 should help Foster energy Independence again.
AAA Auto Club just came out saying that the average person is now keeping their car 12.1 years. President Biden and California governor Newsom desire to stop producing fossil fuel vehicles by 2035. In that case, there will still be a heck of a lot of vehicles that may still be running in 2035 that don't require expensive batteries every 2 or 3 years.
This is a minor victory in the battle to restore common sense in this Administration.

LTC (Join to see) They had to stop... it was choking them to death. They are building coal plants... and other infrastructure... abroad to make other countries dependent on them... plus that doesn't polute their environment in the air or on the ground with deadly polution. I worked in the Environmental Lab at Alcoa & know what kind of pollutants they use to put out but have improved do to environmental laws... until 45 came along.
