Fox called for defunding the Military. Someone needs to inform the foolish cowards at Fox entertainment channel what those stripes on the Generals right sleeve mean.

Ultimately, DoD will stick with published science and academic work over ideological hysteria. This is why the conservative push against trans people didn't work either. It didn't work against desegregation, it didn't work against women, it didn't work against gay people, it didn't work against confederacy vestiges.

The military simply does not put up with this bullshit, and that is why we're still the most powerful in the world.

Not only was the Southern Strategy a thing, by admission, as explained by the people who enacted it, but that was largely a response to civil rights, which is the line that conservatives have historically always fought against.
It's as simple as looking at how the electoral maps evolved from the 50s to the 80s, but we all know how bad conservatives are with facts and history. Though, history also shows that they lose these fights, so there is hope for the future yet.

You misunderstand: the "Southern Strategy" had nothing to do with bringing white supremacists into the GOP. There never was a party flop of racism suddenly becoming a Republican thing instead of a Democrat thing.

I'm not saying the "Southern Strategy" never happened. I'm saying you've swallowed a stack of lies about it from the Democrats.

You're going to need more than incredulity and alternative facts to rewrite the history on this one, guy. There is a reason the republicans are so dead set on restricting voting (hint: It's because they don't stand a chance otherwise).

There are only a FEW demographics which the GOP seek to restrict the votes of:
1) Dead people
2) Non-Citizens
3) Repeat Voters
4) Felons
Which of those is racially determined? And which of them has FAILED to vote, pretty consistently, for the Democrat party for the past generation or more? None of the above, in both cases.

Party platforms don't simply flip from "pushed through the '64 Civil Rights Act" to "white supremacy uber alles," overnight, dude. It was the Republicans in '64 that passed the CRA, almost unilaterally, and you pretend that they were the party of the Klan (founded by Democrats during Reconstruction) by the time Regan was re-elected? Twenty years, max, and not just ONE but BOTH major parties flipped on the issue, conveniently swapping their positions? Not how it works. Occam's Razor says the party running the majority of media found an issue some of their men had backed was now *non grata,* and proceeded to denounce it and accuse the opposition of backing it. No major party has ACTUALLY made White Supremacy a platform point or actively courted the Klan vote for half a century. But the Klan's party, besides shifting its racism from black Americans to white Americans, hasn't changed much at all.
