Whomever is in command of that Navy unit that FORCED sailors to dress and march in a gay pride event, even carrying rainbow flags and such, should be REMOVED from COMMAND because those orders to attend such an event ARE ILLEGAL and improper..
Had I been in a command like that during my US Navy career, I would have told that CO, to court martial me because those orders ARE NOT legal and they do not have any right to force me to do anything that is immoral or against my own religious beliefs. It is the same as if they military told me I HAD to stop having faith in God.
I hope someone in command of the US Navy, steps up and removes that CO or whomever ordered that mandatory attendance of a POILTICAL EVENT, is punished with the full authority of the UCMJ.
That order should NEVER have been given, let along followed.

Mandatory fun is nothing new. I'd really have to know more to determine if such orders actually are "Illegal and improper". I think it would hinge on if one thought such an event was political or not and how mandatory the mandatory fun actually was.
