How NASA's Perseverance rover is setting the early groundwork for a human colony on Mars!
Good morning my RP Brothers and Sisters!
Most of us who have an interest in space and in particular, Planet Mars, and have seen the many many videos of the landscape of Mars with its desolate rocky surface, at least in the areas surrounding the landing locations of Spirit, Opportunity, Curiosity, Perseverance, etc...
It is a tedious task, but an important one if we are to ever put humans on Mars surface and form a manned base or even create a small working town or city in the years that come...
This video fundamentally takes us on the journey to see and understand what we are doing, what we are looking for and why! Also, you should know that in July 2020, three countries launched missions to Mars to study its geology and atmosphere and find any evidence of life. NASA's Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter, China's Tianwen-1 rocket, and the UAE's Hope probe are all accomplishing their missions in different ways, but the ultimate goal's the same: to prepare for eventual human missions to the red planet. Also, let us not forget that we have NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which is capable of high resolution imaging as it orbits the planet...
I believe that this video provides us with some additional insight into where we are going and what we are going to do somewhere down the road, so-to-speak...
I hope you enjoy this video...
