Remember the Gary Cooper film, "The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell," as a kid. Good/recommended old movie. Appreciate the continuing history posts. Thanks.

Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for making us aware that on July 21, 1921 US Amy Air Force Colonel William "Billy" Mitchell demonstrated how bombs from planes could sink the captured German battleship Ostfriesland. 'He and his unit sank the famous, "unsinkable," Ostfriesland, a captured German battleship.'

1921 Aerial Bombardment Demonstration by General Billy Mitchell. The commissioned soundtrack is the "Great Crush Collision March" composed by Scott Joplin in 1896 and played by Sue Keller on a 1923 Hamburg Steinway Model D. The full-length production with high resolution audio/video is on exhibit at the National Museum of the US Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Used with permission.
