That quote is a truth. Our friends and loved ones want to help but they don't know how in many instances. We have a family member dealing with bipolar and even the experts are struggling.

If you feel like that it is imperative to seek professional help. The vexing problem is many therapists do not understand depression and PTSD to effectively guide patients. Often they spend a lot of time rooting in the patient’s mind to understanding the person.
I think many of you know I wrote a PTSD Paper to help people. However, I wrote it from an insider’s view. The paper encompasses what I went through and how deeply I suffered, but the paper is more than how crappy my life became. I also wrote the way ahead and a route to take for others.
Before you fix a problem you must understand the problem. I have received poignant feedback of people crying after reading the paper. It gave them clarity of what they were experiencing and a starting point. I am so damn f@cking happy for people when they heal dramatically. It’s not about me, it’s about them. Their success is my reward.

Thank you for the comments. My reading your short stories ended more for times sake than anything else. If you are willing to share the PTSD Paper here I am interested in reading it.

"Love Squared": A Journey of Healing from PTSD
Last year, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Major (Retired) Ken Landgren who graciously offered for me to read a paper he put together on his experience with PTSD and healing. I read through the paper twice, often fighting tears, and was so moved, I excitedly jumped on his offer to make this paper available for download on our website. Ken's hopes are that it reaches as many military personnel, veterans and their families as possible in...
