Question; didn't the Army just give a third star to the head of CID? Up to now there has been no need for a civilian head of the directorate, so why now? Seems perfectly in keeping with tge current administration of putting civilian oversight, read watchdog or "Kommisar", over military organizations. After all the Soecial Forces now has a civilian bird-dogging them. I think USSR type controls.
