The President, Joint Chiefs and Pentagon have had seven months to plan an orderly withdrawal. They could have done so if it had importance to them -- after all, they ramped up quickly to disperse unvaccinated illegals throughout the country. Had they devoted more effort to tactical planning, and less effort at getting trans into the military for free sex changes and diving into rabbit holes in search of mythical "white supremacists " they could have actually done their jobs.

I suspect President Biden was seduced by the political PR of using 9/11 for a drop dead date. He just can’t comprehend it’s the middle of the best part of their fighting season, and was perfect timing for the Taliban. MHO
