I'm surprised when members of RP advocate blind support of our fearless leaders when they dictate draconian measures. Shouldn't we, better than most, be able to make risk/reward assessments and take those risks necessary to accomplish the mission? To me, lockdowns are the civilian equivalent of hunkering down in a foxhole. As my platoon sergeant in BCT taught us, if you don't stand up and fight back, someone is going to walk up unopposed and stick you with a bayonet. In civilian terms, that result was seen in the destruction of the economy. In other words, we have to take reasonable measures to be as safe as possible but recognize that we must accept some level of danger to provide food, shelter, and clothing.
