What a joke....but it's ok for Congressmen to fly to Kabul and then back to Kuwait? Give me a break. These contractors are the ones who were directly work with the Afghans during their time on the ground. I fully support them doing whatever they can to save these people even when the President has turned his back on them.

"“If any Afghanistan national contacts a DCMA employee for assistance with asylum, the employee should in no way suggest or represent that the individual or DCMA is in a position to help,” the email read. “The employee should only inform the Afghanistan national that the State Department is the appropriate organization to contact.”

Makes sense. Steer people in the right direction.

Sgt Mervyn Russell that briefs well, but if you go to a mechanic because you need surgery, and out of kindness that mechanic does it, he's going to jail, and you're likely not going to have had a successful surgery.

There are worst things than going to jail. I'm not referring only to Afghanistan, I speaking of helping people in general,

Sgt Mervyn Russell - understood. But that's the thing. This organization CANNOT help these people. The State Department can. This isn't a question of willingness. It's about ability.

Even the kindest person in the world is till limited by what they can and cannot effect.

I understand all this, But, you know, we are the most powerful Country in the World, why do we keep screwing up so badly? We can't seem to do anything right for well over fifty years. It's not the Service members, we've done everything ask of us. Maybe not the best performance at all times but, a lot have died while doing their duty. I'm venting. Makes me mad the way our government does things. It's not just our government, it's the whole World. I'm from a young generation of fifty + years ago, Things have changed and I don't like what we've become.
