The Tambora eruption isn’t even mentioned in history classes in public schools. Neither is the eruption of Krakatoa, which was likely the most powerful in human history. Both volcanoes are located in modern Indonesia, along the Ring of Fire that encircles the Pacific Ocean. We might ask what else is along that Ring? Volcanoes in Alaska and Northern California (AKA Pelosiville). I’ve been hoping one day Mt Shasta will blow her top and carry the Speaker out to sea.
