It is only going to get worse in my opinion... We should be manufacturing these in the U.S. as a mainstream product instead of depending on other countries, like China to produce them...

I totally agree, but this is one of those areas where the country's manufacturers went offshore to increase profits. If you or I had the answer to that issue we'd be famous millionaires.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Intel may be the largest chip maker in the U.S. ... but TMSC, in Taiwan, is the largest in the world. I just watched this on my TV. If you want to cut to the chase on this video... fast forward to 6:30 minutes.

Ya, the point that got me was that when demand for auto chips declined TMSC cut back production and moved to other markets. Intel was never in that low tech market niche.

Whatever the future holds, we must have a Rock-Solid posture regarding our friends in Taipei. If push comes to shove we don't want to march into the Big-One chanting "Remember Taiwan". We MUST defend them or ultimately devolve into enslavement.
