Lt Col Ben Caesar spoke to BBC Breakfast about how he and his team cared for the baby who was pulled over the airport wall in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The image of the mother passing her child over the barbed wire wall an emotive image from the days of chaotic evacuations as the US and its allies left Afghanistan.

Both mother and baby were reunited and left the country.

If only people in the US could fathom how important it was for this woman to pass her child in to British soldiers and it have a chance to grow up in freedom, we may be able to help this country return to the greatness we all in RP know it can be. I am glad she made it also.
