Remains of North Carolina World War II soldier identified

We have tens of thousands buried in Europe in known and unknown graves. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to the Dutch who honor the thousands we lost trying to liberate that country. Our soldiers' sacrifices is part of their history and culture now. They have adopted all of the American graves. In such poignant circumstances, our deceased soldiers are now sons of the Netherlands.
