Christians killing Muslims and Muslims killing Christians in Africa? I'm shocked. Shocked I tell ya.

MAJ Montgomery Granger - Actually, 1SG (Join to see) is absolutely correct, especially about the part about you spreading anti-Islamic propaganda. Whether he is aware that you have labeled the U.S. military as being part of a "crusade" is unknown to me, but it is clear that you have repeatedly and continually denigrated those who worship the same Abrahamic god in a different manner than you.

1SG (Join to see) - "Christian Sharia?" Your own special form of DOUBLESPEAK? The Crusades were a RESPONSE to the raping and pillaging of Jerusalem and southern Europe by Islamists. The US fought two wars against the Barbarians. Muhammad knew Judaism and Christianity growing up, rejected both for his own brand of not religion, but brutal, bloody theocracy.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Only peaceful Muslims worship and understand and appreciate the God of Abraham. Islamists (radicalized Muslims) follow Sharia Law and consider non-Muslim, non-Sharia following Muslims as "kafir," the lowest life on planet earth to them. Anti-Islamic? You bet I am! Crusade? I'm ALL-IN. The Crusades were a RESPONSE to the raping and pillaging and murdering of Jerusalem and Southern Europe by the Sharia hoards. Would you have had the US pay tribute to the Barbarians instead of fight and win two wars against them? Are YOU Islamist, or just an Islamist apologist?

MAJ Montgomery Granger - Only Eastern Orthodox follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Crusades were nothing more than an attempt to gain land and power for the Roman church, in that the so-called crusaders also slaughtered Jews, real Christians (Orthodox), and anyone who did not believe as they did.

When the crusaders captured Jerusalem, they immediately put all of the inhabitants, Muslim, Jew, and any other person to the sword. And at the time of the Crusades, the area of Palestine and Syria had been peaceful for about 300 years, since the Muslim territorial expansion was over in the 8th Century. The ruling group of Muslims changed, but there were no widespread instances of "raping and pillaging and murdering" prior to the first crusade.

Crusaders also went after Cathars, in southern France, killing both Cathars and Catholics alike, and creating the phrase, "Kill them all, God will know His own." Then they sacked Constantinople, a Christian city in the fourth crusade, in 1204. Plus, you do realize that the northern Crusades had nothing to do with Islam, don't you? Further, the Christians lost. By 1291, all of the "Christian" kingdoms in the Middle East were gone.

The current actions against terrorism are not a crusade, even though you have referred to them as such in the past. The real question is not whether I'm an "Islamidt" or their apologist, but whether you will follow the Bible or the Constitution? Would you deny those who believe differently than you the protections of the Bill of Rights, or subject them to Biblical law, sometimes known as "Christian Sharia"? Why do you want to oppress your fellow citizens?

PS, if you're going to assert something as a historical fact, you may want to check somewhere besides your church library...

Allow me to give some background information. For many decades the Christian government has drilled for oil near the Niger Delta which is occupied predominantly by Muslims. The oil has polluted the sea and the land. The locals could not fish or farm, and they faced poverty over the decades. The government refused revenue sharing. These were the conditions that shaped the genesis for insurgency.

MAJ Montgomery Granger - exactly, pay a tax to practice your religion. Slavery of the most revolting kind, abuse of women all part and parcel of Islam

It comes down down to ideology. If there was no ideology to seek freedom and equality at the incipient stages of the insurgency, perhaps the violence could have been prevented. If the British were fair with us we might not have revolted. You can believe what you want. I really don’t care. MAJ Montgomery Granger

The insurgents were focusing on equality, not Sharia law. Not all Muslim insurgencies are based on the desire to install Zaharia law. MAJ Montgomery Granger
