Being a Democrat used to make sense...not anymore.

But the party has undergone a profound evolution over the past few decades. It has been transformed by the radicals in the party and no longer stands for the principles it once claimed to represent. In fact, today’s Democrat Party represents none of the things America has always stood for.

Problem is that it makes even less sense to be a Republican today. Substitute Republican in the above comment and its spot on.

Tip O’Neill once famously said ,” all politics are local”. I felt he meant that those in Washington DC representing the people owed their office to the people they represented. Today Democrats feel they owe their allegiance to the radicals in the Democratic Party. If you don’t follow along the Democrats will harass, torment and try to destroy you! Look what they are doing toSinema !

I will say that when Tip O'Neil was in Washington He never forgot where He came from and always looked out for the people of His home state, Massachusetts. As a Democrat He was able to and did work out common goals with the Republic Party Members and friendships weren't based on Political Party. He was a very effective Speaker of the House and got things done.
