Thieves ransacked cars in San Francisco in broad daylight, shoot at good Samaritan

A San Francisco man tried to stop thieves breaking into cars along the Embarcadero in broad daylight Wednesday, and was shot at in the process.
The good Samaritan shouted at two men taking luggage out of a car, then followed them as they broke into another car and began taking photographs. That's when one of the thieves pulled a gun and fired at him
"Inaction leads to this action," the man, who wished to remain anonymous, told KRON4. "I heard shots fired, he aimed it at me and cocked it and I jumped behind the car I was standing next to and that’s when they got into their car and I stood up against and started hollering for people to stop them,"

Is this a surprise? The left has ZERO intention of stopping crime. When I was in SF many years ago, it was a great city to walk around with no worries. Now, I wouldn't go with less than a USMC rifle squad.

As I wrote in other places, this occurred in San Francisco. This is a left wing policy.
The DA has announced that his office wouldn't prosecute a long list of criminal offenses. When there is little worry to be charged, the crimes don't stop. They escalate. The San Francisco news medias report almost on a daily basis incidents such as gangs of people running into stores, looting it, and then running out into the street and taking off in cars during daylight. Car thefts have jumped. Almost all crimes have greatly increased. People arrested for violent crimes are released on the streets to wait for trial. Violent felons are being let out early.
