99.9% of the time it is ma'am. Everyone just needs to be respectful of one another, but the Left can't advance their addenda when peoepl stand together, so they create falsehoods to separate people from one another.

Equity is the opposite of equality. Anyone ever think that when congress doesn't pass a bill, our system is working? Probably not but, it is. When votes come out so close, I don't think anything should pass. Don't use underhanded tactics to pass it. Too many are either for or against the bill and it is too controversial to move into effect. Meet the 60-40 domain or don't pass it. Anything less, it separates the nation and is not worth it.

Amen! Exactly!!! Our government is set up to gridlock when there is no a clear consensus. You are absolutely right. If congress decides to eliminate the filibuster, well in my opinion we will have gone most of the way toward being a Socialist Country.

Thank you sir. Yes I agree that I question most of what I see in wikipedia but it does have it's purpose. All I can say is "Wow!". I am sorry for your state. I clicked on EIS hoping to see the actual EIS, but it just gave a definition of what an EIS is.

Besides all the other troubles identified in the site, I can probably guess the consulting engineering firms preforming the preliminary engineering just kept on going, and the state didn't have the proper professionals to rein them in. I've seen some of PennDOT's districts go to completely consultant designs; when this happens the agency tends to lose their experience and knowledge in design, that puts them more at the mercy of the consultant. What is the primary purpose of consultants? To bring more money into their firms. I'm not saying it happened here, but if Oregon lost it's professional experience to "control" consulting vendors, they are in trouble. Vendors whisper nice things into politician's ears to make them question their own professionals, and as the politicians use vendors more and more, their own organic forces become less and less. MHO
