Standard response for our Commander In Chief, and his Second In Command. How sad.

Interesting article. The article takes pains to say this started before the Floyd stuff, but then went on to say the increase was within the last year and a half. They use the term street groups? To me this sounds like gang violence. Gangs and drugs usually go hand in hand. The drug pouring in through our southern border doesn’t help anyone out. Without official numbers, from what I hear on the streets of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre drug overdoses are though the roof. Two years ago more were seeking treatment because they couldn’t find drugs. We need to get these drugs off the streets.

That's a shame, but I imagine hoods in Chicago would look at those statistics and say that Hartford's thugs are amatuers. Drugs are a problem everywhere, and so are gangs which, as SFC (Join to see) noted about gang violence.

Quote from the Fox News story: "The woman, a U.S. citizen from Brownsville, was driving a 2008 Ford pickup. During an inspection of the vehicle, CBP officers discovered 24 packages hidden inside the truck."

People often forget that US citizens often act as mules for smuggling into America based on perception of more trustworthy reputation

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - That’s pretty cold sir. What I’m trying to explain, maybe poorly, is that we are at a all time high since march 2021, and it has gone up since then. Isolation from the pandemic is credited with the March 2020 to 2021 deaths. Most of the pandemic restrictions have gone away, and with that much of the reasons of isolation deaths.

Now we have many more drugs on our streets than we did in the March 2020-2021 deaths. I have relatives that are homeless and drug addicted that I stay in touch with and try to encourage to get better. As I said before I can personally attest to the increased death rate the last 6 months in NE Pa. in addition to increases in drug supple. Maybe it is just local. I believe it is national.

SFC (Join to see) I hear and understand you, I just don't buy into all the drugs coming into the country are killing any more people than they ever have. Frankly opioids, made right here in the USA, are statistically killing more people on a daily basis.

SFC (Join to see) - I was supposed to attach overdose rates for last year in my last post but I forgot. This next site I am send you says it better. It is the illegal drugs killing most of our People. Quote from article: Fentanyl and its derivatives have contributed to countless overdose deaths in recent years. Prescription drugs containing fentanyl can cause overdose, but laced heroin and counterfeit drugs are responsible for the majority of deaths involving the drug.
