Rittenhouse did not chase down anyone. He was chased.

Are you actively misrepresenting on purpose, or just willfully ignorant and only putting forward the misrepresentations of your preferred group?

SFC Casey O'Mally - I watched the video a number of times... what I thought I saw was someone with a skateboard was being chased by someone with a gun. I'm not doubting your interpretation... I initially based my comments on the article. Thanks for your input.

The statement that Rittenhouse "chased" Rosenbaum is not correct. The video shows Rittenhouse shooting Rosenbaum once in the chest after Rosenbaum knocked him to the ground with the skateboard and either Rosenbaum or another individual kicked him in the head.

Exactly the point. Self defense from what?? Sorry if I didn't make it clear. He should be in jail doing hard time.

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln SGT (Join to see) - Yeah, the thing you're missing is that Rittenhouse chased down no one. He was chased down. Once he tripped while fleeing, attackers closed on him. You can even hear someone shouting "get his ass." Then, and only then, after he was on the ground surrounded, and with more closing in, did he open fire. He fired controlled, aimed shots at the nearest attacker. Then at the next attacker who moved to attack (Rosenbaum, with the skateboard), then at the third. After the third person was shot, no one else attempted to close with Rittenhouse, he lowered his weapon, moved away from the scene. At the sound of gunfire, he turned toward the gunfire, raised his weapon again, but saw no threat. He then lowered his weapon and backed away, and immediately surrendered to the police.

Here's a video. In the very beginning we see Rittenhouse fleeing, being chased by a mob. He's the guy in a greenish shirt with a rifle in his hands.

But the Daily KOS, of course, refuses to admit that it actually *was* self defense.

SGT (Join to see) - He didn't chase anyone down, nor did he shoot anyone in the back (as far as I'm aware). He was threatened and then chased (with shots being fired at him), shot the first guy who was attacking him, continued to flee, was hit in the head or upper body with the skateboard, shot the second guy who was attacking, and then shot the guy with a handgun who was charging at him.

Naaaah... I won't push the decapitation idea BUT it certainly could be lethal or negatively life changing.
