In my opinion, this Naval officer was a one man attack force! A hearty Bravo Zulu to a very talented pilot! Took out two Japanese Aircraft carriers. I was not aware of this hero's very brave actions, and I thank you MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. for this post.

Thanks for all the information on yet another great American Hero.... Best got his flight training in Pensacola... I love that town... Pensacola puts on two air shows a year, one on the base, and one on the beach..... Play your vacation around the one on the beach one year.... it's a blast....
