Capitol riot suspects had more ties to Oath Keepers than previously known

I guess I'm really not surprised by this. When I first heard about the Oath Keepers many years ago the idea of upholding the Constitution seems nice. But when I looked into what they really were about, it wasn't upholding the legal understanding of the Constitution, it was their own personal interpretations. Even worse, those I spoke with seemed willing to use violence, or threats of violence, to do it. So no, I'm not surprised.

I remember seeing their flyers floating around AFSPC years ago and not thinking anything of it. I didn't find out who they really were until several years later. I would have expected better from what should have been one of the smarter parts of the most educated service.
