Trust completely eroded after sergeant pretends to lose count of pushups

A trust issue, or a ball-busting event? I have tow onder what the Sgt's side of the story would be. On it's face, it seems like a trivial thing to get so disturbed about and the soldiers should withhold judgement on the Sgt until he knows him better by experiencing more of the Sgt's character, whatever that might be.
