We're going to court. Just about everything in America is turning into a court case.

Right to Bear Arms:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Not certain where I stand on this issue; b/c it’s an interpretive issue to be decided state by state and NOT a uniform across the board FEDERAL LAW. This is why I served for the USA as a US Marine; to protect and to preserve these RIGHTS…IMHO!

A couple of significant points:
First, he's asking a California court to compel an third party to provide evidence or testimony for a civil (not criminal) suit in New Mexico. In most court proceedings, that would be a "take a number and wait" action.
Second, for all the folks who see privately organized militias as a purely Second Amendment issue, there's some relevant verbiage in Article I which the Second Amendment builds on:
"The Congress shall have power to ...
"To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
"To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;"
