Well they did crank up the propaganda machine and don't understand US strategy. US strategic nuclear bombers don't practice in groups of 10, at best they are a group of 3 that split up after their last refueling. I can neither confirm nor deny participating in exercises that came close to Soviet borders in the 70s.
