With her sentencing behind her, Ryan is back to feeling no remorse for her actions – to do so would be committing a "thought crime," she claims – and lying about the Capitol riot.
In a recent interview, Ryan told WFAA's William Joy that the riot was a peaceful event, and that the press had misconstrued its image.
“It was a beautiful parade of red flags, it wasn’t the violence you see on the news,” Ryan said. “It was very peaceful.”

We really need to prioritize mental health in our society. If she can delude herself to this level she obviously needs a high level of care.

Sort of like TV reporters coving the mostly peaceful riots a couple of summers ago? Sort of like the liberals say “don’t call it looting” when people run through stores smashing counters and stealing or breaking into stores during rioting!

A little more like an individual who is directly facing the consequences of her actions and refusing to acknowledge the truth of the situation.
But in more general terms, I would like to see mental healthcare made more widely available and considered on par with physical healthcare. I would like to see more effort to destigmatize the seeking of mental healthcare. I saw too many people suffering because it wasn't "manly" to seek mental healthcare, they didn't believe it was a thing, or they thought they'd lose their clearance if they did.
