SSG (Join to see) I felt it was immoral to make me drive into Iraq with canvas doors. But it was a lawful order. And it sure as hell exposed me to a more tangible immediate risk than this vaccine. Morals don’t mean shit. Regulations do. If you find your morals are incompatible with military service then take the general discharge and move on to other things. As to your second point, this order was not issued until one of the vaccines had full fda approval, to avoid this very confusion.
Spin it all you want. It’s an order. You don’t have to like it, you don’t have to approve of it, you can whine and stomp your feet but if you wish to remain in the military this lawful order is a condition of service.

Idk what unit your in, but soldiers were already being threatened with separation long before it was FDA approved in both Schofield Barracks and Knox. I think doing your job is an irrelevant argument to a vaccine which is not really part of me actually doing my job.

SSG (Join to see) cool story bro. SecDef announced his intent in advance of FDA approval and issued his written order upon FDA approval. I don’t know what you heard on the Smoke Pit News Network but here’s the cool thing…doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter what you heard, doesn’t matter what you think. It’s a volunteer force. Follow the order, or there’s the door.

Our military I like a an engine built by the lowest bider, using substandard parts along with good ones, being maintained by slightly incompetent mechanics and abused by apathetic operators. Normally it can just chug along getting us to where we need to be with minimal down time by some act of god or some luck.
Now throw in meddling political BS along with folks who do everything within their power to deadline that engine and you have todays military. Its like watching a severe train wreck in slow motion while downing over salted popcorn, it sucks but you cannot look away. Kind of resembles some other militaries over history, sort of like copying a script.
I would truly like to say that I no longer care but that would be a lie, a rather large one, but I am no longer in the game and forced to watch this shitshow play out.
