American red cross volunteers leave Fairfax, Virginia to help families in Kentucky

It's all-hands-on-deck for the American Red Cross following the tragic and deadly outbreak of tornadoes in the Kentucky and Tennessee region.
Right now, the Red Cross has ten shelters open in the Kentucky and Tennessee area --- and 190 people spent the night last night in those shelters because they lost everything.
On Sunday evening, eight Red Cross volunteers left Fairfax, Virginia to help in the most heavily impacted areas in Kentucky. That’s where they will hand out food, water, and clean-up supplies from emergency response vehicles.

There are several fund drive going on and the Red Cross is asking for Blood Donars to come forward if able to help levels at blood banks because of the number of people injured. Prayers for all involved.

A few Red Cross from NC went to Kentucky to assist. This is definitely the worst tornado in SS long as I can remember. My thoughts and prayers are with those impacted. Thank You for sharing this Lt Col Charlie Brown
