Sadly, that's about all we can say now. President Biden has decided his policy.

SFC (Join to see) - You're trying to place all the blame on President Biden when this Inflationary period is the result of many things. Sure, President Biden's policies and closing down pipelines etc are attributing to the high cost of energy, but so is inflation. There is a possibility that all this money we are putting into research my save the planet and cut energy cost 50% in the long run. Even before energy prices went up, solar companies were offering complete finance on going all solar for cheaper than people were paying for electricity.

PFC David Foster - Solar and wind can't compete with natural gas (that we got plenty of) without big subsidies from the Administration.

You are making my case for me. I understand your long term thinking, but we need to survive to get there. We also need to realize that electricity may not be the solution for transportation. As a matter of fact, it probably won't be. All the money we are pouring into electric infrastructure for cars will probably be wasted.

There are lots of ways to look at things, and lots of things to look at. Electricity isn't the only way. With the technology we have now it is foolhardy to pump all this money into electricity. You have your thought process, and you can't see us painting ourselves into a corner. We will have to agree to disagree.

SFC (Join to see) - I hope you are right. I hope we come up with a better alternative. As far as it being a waste, I don't think so. Spending all these trillions of dollars keeps our economy strong. The important thing IMO is to keep moving in the right direction. Only rich people are going to be buying electric cars for the first 10 years, they are too expensive for middle class workers to afford. After 10 years, if we don't have a better alternative, competition and demand will bring prices way down on electric cars, WAY DOWN in 10 years. I mean, we should be able to buy a real basic electric car for way less than buying one with big 8-cylinder combustible motors. 52-inch tv were 1500 dollars when they first came out for a long time, then they came down to 1000, then 800, then 500, you can get one for 300 dollars now, every home has one.
