Federal as well as state charges. I’m not sure how that works, but I noticed that the two sentences run concurrently, which brings up the point of, “why?” What difference does it make? Is it a double jeopardy thing, since he won’t get additional time? Or is it the federal prison assignment, so he does his time in federal prison?

That’s what I thought, thank you for confirming that. I don’t think it was in 2017 though, it was much more recent. I guess my question is, why? I don’t understand the reasoning for the effort and expense if it doesn’t change his sentence. Does it effectively keep him from getting parole early? I’m onboard with him being in jail a long time, but there had to be a good reason for federal charges as well as state, I just don’t know what it is. Curiosity CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana

MCPO Hilary Kunz, the Federal Court has taken Jurisdiction over this case without tampering with the State's judgment in the case. Parole terms will be in compliance with Federal Law, instead of State. Rest is same, in my assessment.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - that’s kind of what I thought, so the real difference is that his chances for early parole are much more limited. I’m good with that. Thank you for the explanation.
