Ok, lots of missing information here, but it's Fox News so it fits their agenda.

Sir, I believe you are a bit of a hypochondriac concerning Fox News. :)

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I had to bing OAN because I didn't know what it was. LTC Mackay provided a bit of a better article that provided additional facts. At least we got the story, I haven't seen it elsewhere.

There were no runaway ramps where this happened. Traffic was stopped for another accident if I’m not mistaken.

This local piece talks about some of the details. This particular stretch of I70 is not in the mountains. It’s relatively flat as you head out to the Airport. If there is a runaway truck ramp, I’ve not noticed it on my multiple trips to DIA. https://www.9news.com/amp/article/news/crime/sentencing-fiery-i70-crash-4-killed/73-61df5052-5f71-4bea-9e5d-c51633c00fd7

LTC Jason Mackay - Thanks for the article sir, it explained more than the original one I posted. While it didn't answer all the questions I have in my mind, it answered enough to the point that I have much less sympathy for this driver. While not a professional driver myself it looks like a simple decision to me: Lose control of vehicle: look for an area to crash into that will cause the least amount of damage. He did not do this successfully; he should have been able to.
